Dr. Stacy Zubkousky is an Assistant Professor and the Resident Education Coordinator at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. Dr. Zubkousky’s responsibilities include instructing students in optometric theory and methods labs, precepting students in the primary care and contact lens clinics, and facilitating resident advanced learning through conferences, case reviews, and lectures. 

Prior to becoming faculty at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Zubkousky worked at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, developing its contact lens department and treating patients with severe ocular disease in advanced contact lenses. She then worked at a local private practice, specializing in custom contact lenses and dry eye management.

Dr. Zubkousky is a fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society, a member of the International Keratoconus Academy, and has lectured at continuing education events on contact lens solutions and scleral lenses. She has presented posters at AAO and SECO and has recently published an article in Primary Care Optometry News titled “How to Diagnose Dry Eye to Ensure Contact Lens Success.” Dr. Zubkousky’s interests include ocular surface disease, scleral and gas permeable lenses and myopia management.

Dr. Zubkousky earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry, receiving the President’s Scholarship Award and graduating as part of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. She went on to complete a residency at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Primary Care with Emphasis in Cornea and Contact Lens.
