Linda S. Rouse, O.D., M.B.A., FAAO earned her undergraduate degree in 1988 from Stetson University, after which she completed her optometric training at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1992. A one-year residency in primary eye care and ocular disease with a fellowship in clinical education was completed at the Illinois College of Optometry/Illinois Eye Institute in 1993. A master’s degree in business and administration with a concentration in finance was attained in 2016. Dr. Rouse began and continues to co-own a private optometric practice since 1994.

In July 2003 she accepted a full time faculty position at Nova Southeastern University, College of Optometry (NSUCO). Since being with NSUCO, Dr. Rouse has developed an Optical Education Curriculum for the third and fourth year students and has been a guest lecturer in courses for the first and second year students as well as, the Physicians Assistance program at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Rouse’s interests range from optometric practice management and ophthalmic optics to a particular interest in neuro-eye and posterior segment diseases of the eye.

Dr. Rouse is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is also a member of the American Optometric, Florida Optometric and the Broward County Optometric Associations. She actively participates in the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry’s special interest group for clinical administrators and directors and the financial affairs committee. In addition, she served for over eight years on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry’s Basic Science, Examination Development, and Applied Basic Science Committees as well as, the Applied Basic Science Council.
