Jacqueline Rodena, O.D. received a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 1999. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2004 and received her Doctor of Optometry. She continued at Nova Southeastern University and completed a one-year residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision.

Upon completion of the residency, Dr. Rodena joined the faculty at Nova Southeastern University, where she currently holds the rank of assistant professor. Her teaching assignments include being Instructor of Record for the Anomalies of Binocular Vision II Laboratories. Dr. Rodena is an attending optometric physician for the third and fourth year students in the Pediatric and Binocular Vision clinics and Primary care clinics.

Dr. Rodena’s scholarly interests are in binocular vision, pediatrics, vision therapy, and learning-related vision disorders. She has presented posters at the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), American Optometric Association (AOA), College of Vision Development (COVD), and SECO International on topics of binocular vision, pediatric eye disease, and vision therapy. She has participated on multiple PEDIG (Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group) studies focusing on amblyopia and strabismus and the CITT (Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial) studies. She co-wrote a chapter with Dr. Yin C. Tea in the Visual Diagnosis and Care of the Patient with Special Needs.
