Beata I. Lewandowska, O.D., M.S., earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. She completed a residency focused on co-management of ocular disease at Aran Eye Associates, Coral Gables, FL. In addition, she earned a Master of Science in Education degree with a specialization in Spanish Language Education at Nova Southeastern University, Davie, FL.

Dr. Lewandowska has gained extensive experience in providing ophthalmic care to the geriatric population. She currently serves the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University as an Associate Professor. Her principal roles include being the instructor of record for the Ocular Disease of the Anterior Segment: Diagnosis and Pharmacological Management course. In addition, she serves as a clinical preceptor to the third- and fourth-year students in the Primary Care and Dry Eye services as well as an instructor to the first- and second-year students in the Optometric Theory and Methods laboratories. 

Dr. Lewandowska is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and the former Florida ABO Ambassador. She is a member of the World Council of Optometry. In the past, she has served as an examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. 

Dr. Lewandowska is fluent in Polish, Spanish, and French. In her spare time, she enjoys music, cooking, and exploring the globe.
