Andrea M. Janoff, O.D., FAAO is a 1986 graduate of the New England College of Optometry. She earned a certificate of Residency from the Brockton, Massachusetts Veterans Administration Medical Center, a hospital-based residency program that included advanced contact lens experience.  Following her residency, she worked abroad at the Hadassah Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel.  Dr. Janoff returned to the Boston area as the proprietor of an independent practice with emphasis in contact lenses.  She has been involved in clinical education at the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry since 1995: as Chief of Service and Externship Director in Cornea & Contact Lens from 1996-2019, as Instructor of Record for the Cornea & Contact Lens Case Conference and Industry courses since their infancy, as Residency Supervisor since 1999, as Residency Coordinator since 2015, and as Contact Lens Lab Instructor since 2018. 

Throughout Dr. Janoff's career she has participated in contact lens related clinical research. During her involvement in the Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Keratoconus (CLEK) Study, she co-authored a publication in Optometry and Vision Science on Rigid Contact Lens Fitting Relationships in Keratoconus. She has published numerous scientific posters and papers for the American Academy of Optometry, including those on her unique keratoconic lens designs (A Piggy-Back Lens Design: Mimicking a Hybrid Lens, and Merging Aspheric and Spherical GP Lens Designs for the Keratoconic Presbyope), and for the American Optometric Association, Southeastern Congress of Optometry, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and Global Specialty Lens Symposium. Additionally, she presented lectures on specialty contact lenses to students, residents, and physicians of Optometry and Ophthalmology, providing continuing education at various venues including a publication in Eye Care Review (Corneal Complications of Human T-Cell Lymphotrophic Virus-1 in the Differential Diagnosis of Keratoconus), and Review of Optometry (Simplify Fitting GP Lenses for Keratoconus and Other Ectasias). Dr. Janoff is an active member of the Association of Contact Lens Educators, the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.
