Dr. Hua Bi earned her O.D. degree with honors and Ph.D. degree in vision science from the University of Houston. Currently she is an Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry where she teaches as Instructor of Record of Visual Optics course, Visual Neurophysiology course, and Introduction to Binocular Vision course and serves as clinical preceptor in the Visual Electrodiagnostic clinic at The Eye Care Institute at NSU.
Dr. Bi’s research interests include visual electrophysiology, evaluation of ocular structure and function in normal and pathological visual systems, binocular vision and refractive anomalies. Dr. Bi has authored papers in top peer-reviewed journals such as Proceedings of National Academy of Science USA, Cerebral Cortex, Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Science, Journal of Neurophysiology, and Optometry and Vision Science, as well as a book chapter in Primate Vision. Dr. Bi also has provided clinical lectures nationally and internationally in the areas of visual electrodiagnostics, and binocular vision.
