Dr. Tiana Berezu graduated with honors and professional distinction from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry, FLShe completed a residency in Primary Care with emphasis in Low Vision and Geriatrics at NSU, FL. Dr. Berezu also holds a B.S. in Vision Science and M.A. in Teaching.   

Dr. Berezu is a full-time member of faculty at Nova South Eastern University College of Optometry and holds the rank of Assistant Professor.  She is instructor for Clinical Low Vision course for 4th year interns, Low Vision Lab for 3rd year students, Optometric Theory and Methods Lab for 2nd year students, residency supervisor in low vision and geriatrics service, and attending physician for interns in primary care, low vision, and geriatrics.  She also serves on the Medical Redaction Committee at NSUCO. 

Dr. Berezu has presented research and case reports in the areas of Low Vision Rehabilitation and Ocular Disease at American Academy of Optometry, SECO International Congress, and NSU Health Professions Division Research DayShe is currently involved in clinical research in low vision at NSU. Dr. Berezu’s interests include optometric education, ophthalmic optics, clinical and academic low vision, geriatrics, ocular disease, primary care, and low vision research. 

Dr. Berezu is a Fellow of American Academy of Optometry and an active member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, Broward County Optometric Association, and American Academy of Optometry.  Dr. Berezu has received multiple awards for her contributions including the Eschenbach Award in Low Vision, Bill Mattingly Memorial Scholarship, Health Professions Division NSU REACH Day 2020, and Best NSU Resident Award.
