Dr. Ariela Baran completed her undergraduate education at the University of Central Florida Honors Program in 2016, where she majored in Health Sciences. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science degree in 2018 from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Baran then received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2020 from Nova Southeastern University where she graduated with honors. Dr. Baran was the recipient of the GPLI Clinical Excellence Award and Volk Faculty Choice Award.
Following graduation, Dr. Baran continued at Nova Southeastern University to complete a one-year residency program in Primary Care with an emphasis in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision. Upon completion of her residency in 2021, Dr. Baran joined the faculty at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry full-time. Her current responsibilities include laboratory teaching as well as clinical supervision of third- and fourth-year students in primary care and pediatric clinics.
Dr. Baran enjoys working alongside faculty members and students from various backgrounds and is passionate about improving the quality of life of the diverse population base she serves.
