Michelle Merida Morgado, M.B.A. currently serves as the Manager of Marketing for the College of Optometry and Managing Editor of The Visionary magazine, the college’s alumni publication. In this role, she designs and/or oversees design of promotional flyers, brochures, banners, and online content while ensuring consistency of all material with the NSU brand in regards to logos, imagery, colors, and tone of voice. She works in conjunction with the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in creating marketing plans for social media and co-manages the content. She promotes the annual Optical Style Show using radio ads, web, social media, mailers, and flyers, as well as internal NSU communications such as Radio X, Sharkbytes, and The Current. As the Managing Editor of The Visionary, she sets the tone, editorial and visual direction, and policies for the publication and ensures every issue is consistent on these measures by working in conjunction with the HPD Director of Medical Communications and Public Relations and the Office of Publications. She serves as web master for the college’s websites, faculty and student resource page editor, and list serve moderator and by serving as a liaison between the College of Optometry and the Office of Public Affairs, she increases the College of Optometry's media exposure.

Morgado joined NSU in July 2008 as a Patient Access Representative at the College of Optometry’s clinical branch, The Eye Care Institute (TECI). In February 2010, she was promoted to Assistant to the Chief Operations Officer of TECI, Linda S. Rouse, O.D, and in this role, she provided clerical support as well as routine insurance, billing, and A/R reconciliations and corrections in the medical management software and assisted with credentialing for the optometry clinicians. In August 2012, Morgado was promoted to Manager of Third Party Contracts and Marketing Services where she oversaw third-party contracts and associated collections for TECI, including reports and projections, developed community health patient access programs, and marketing of TECI services, and commercial vision insurance credentialing.

In 2015, she earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Marketing from the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at NSU and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) with a concentration in Marketing in March 2017.
