Nicholas R. Green, O.D., FAAO

Dr. Nicholas Green received his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut in 2012. He then pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University. In his final year of school, he received the Student of the Year Award from the Ohio Optometric Association for his outstanding service to the profession. He graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2017. He completed a residency in Family Practice and Ocular Disease from Northeastern State University - Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2018.

 

After completing residency, Dr. Green practiced in South Carolina at a hospital-based ophthalmology practice. In addition to seeing patients, he taught ophthalmology residents and medical students.

 

Dr. Green joined the faculty of Nova Southeastern University in 2020 as an assistant professor. He precepts third and fourth year students in the primary care and advanced care clinics. His academic interests include laser and surgical procedures for optometrists, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and anterior segment disease. He lectures on these topics in various classes and labs at the College as well as at CE events throughout the United States. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.
