Laura A. Falco, O.D., F.A.A.O. holds an academic appointment, at the rank of Assistant Professor, to the faculty of the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to her full-time teaching responsibilities, Dr. Falco is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry
Dr. Laura A. Falco received her Bachelor of Science from State University of New York, University Center at Albany in 1995, and her Doctor of Optometry from State University of New York, State College of Optometry in 1999. She continued on to complete a residency in Family Practice Optometry at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Optometry in 2000. Following her residency, she joined the faculty at Nova Southeastern University in 2000.
During this time, Dr. Falco has served as the instructor of record for the Optometric Theory and Methods courses and labs. She also teaches in the low vision laboratory. In addition, she is an attending optometric physician at the University’s North Miami Beach clinic, Davie Eye Institute, and Broward Clinic, where she has lead several clinical conferences. Dr. Falco has authored numerous posters and has peer reviewed articles for the American Optometric Association Journal and Review of Optometry. Her posters and publications cover a broad spectrum of topics in optometry
