TUTOR REGISTRATION
BSK members (except OD4 & E5) are required to provide tutoring services as part of their service to the College.
We expect all of our tutors to be able to teach another student how to study and review the course material, and to help them develop a long-range plan for the tutoring sessions. Tutors are required to have strong working knowledge of specific course content. They also need to be able to assist the tutee in learning how to think and problem solve in the context of the course. Tutors should possess effective skills in working collaboratively with peers and teaching with compassion. They must be good listeners and problem solvers who are able to think and explain content is more than one way. Tutors should have the ability to manage tasks, maintain schedules, manage time, and guide the tutoring sessions so the tutee will learn to study efficiently and effectively.
All tutors must complete the Tutor Registration Form and submit it to Dr. Oliver, BSK Faculty Advisor.
TUTORING REPORT FORM
The following form should be completed by the tutor and signed by the tutor as well as the tutee. Please use only one form per tutee. The form should be delivered to Dr. Oliver's mailbox by the tutor within 72 hours following each tutoring session.
