Beginning Your Graduate Education

Welcome to the Master of Science in Clinical Vision Research Program at Nova Southeastern University's College of Optometry. You are now entering a new and exciting phase of your professional career as well as beginning an innovative approach to learning in the information age. During your matriculation in the graduate program, you will be taking courses with fellow students engaged in a quest for knowledge in vision science and clinical vision research who are members of this unique global learning community.

When you are accepted into the program, you will receive a letter from the admissions office indicating your status as a Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry graduate student. Enclosed with the letter will be important information, on how to create your NSU email account. Please see: http://www.nova.edu/cwis/future_student.html for more information. The username and password issued to you for your e-mail account is also required for access to WebCT, the University's course management system, and your courses for the graduate program. Prior to beginning your courses for the first term, it is recommened that you review the information on the links located at the bottom of this page and complete the computer tune-up.

We have created a secure space for learning that is focused on your needs; a space that your instructors have structured to assist you to attain your goals. The WebCT technology that is used in this program facilitates active learning of subject matter in addition to an active exchange of information with your instructors and fellow students. Our goal is to assist you in the advancement of your knowledge and expertise through effective online teaching and learning strategies within your areas of interest and expertise.
