Albert D. Woods, M.S.,O.D.,F.A.A.O., is an Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University, College of Optometry, teaching in the areas of neuro-eye disease, ocular manifestations of systemic disease, clinical medicine/physical diagnosis, and online medical information searching for clinical research. Dr. Woods graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and completed a hospital-based residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Cellular Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology where his research involved the effect of aging on the neurological system. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Woods is a clinical preceptor for optometric residents and interns, neuro-eye consultant, and electrodiagnostic provider at the Nova Eye Institute. He has been awarded both the Professor of the Year and the Golden Apple for Excellence in Teaching while at Nova Southeastern University.
