Gina Peyton has worked as a Grants Officer at NSU’s Office of Grants and Contracts since August 2002. As a grants officer, she assists faculty and staff with pre award activities that include preparing proposals and applications for specific competitions, provide technical support in developing project budgets, interpret grant guidelines and Requests for Proposals (RFP), as well as obtained institutional information and assurances as requested by the grant/contract guidelines. Ms. Peyton also manages the universities internal research awards, President’s Faculty Research and Development Grants, that fund and support faculty members projects. Just prior to joining the Office of Grants and Contracts, Ms. Peyton worked in the Fischler School of Education and Human Services at NSU as a research associate. In that capacity, she reviewed the doctoral dissertation research proposals and Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents to ensure compliance with University IRB requirements. She also conducted workshops for advisers and students on the IRB process. Ms. Peyton graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Education with a specialization in Reading. Ms. Peyton is currently working on her doctoral degree at Nova Southeastern University and plans to obtain her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Higher Education Leadership in spring 2006.
