EULOGIO BESADA O.D., F.A.A.O., M.S. Dr. Besada graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1989. He completed a hospital-based residency program at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1990. In addition he earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Houston in 1982. Dr. Besada served as Clinic Chief at Southeastern University (today Nova Southeastern) from 1990 to 1995 and presently is an Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He serves as preceptor for the fourth year students at the North Miami Beach Optometry Clinic. Other responsibilities include resident supervisor and mentor of first and second year Optometry students in the Interdisciplinary Generalist Curriculum for the College of Optometry. Dr. Besada is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, Optometric Retinal Society and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is the author of numerous regional, national and international clinical and scientific journals such as Optometry and Vision Science, Optometry, Clinical and Experimental Optometry, Clinical and Refractive Optometry and Clinical Eye and Vision Care.
