Overview
NSU College of Optometry brings its organization and expertise to Central Florida. Join us for eight hours of CE completed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be six hours eligible for TQ should you need that for your Florida license. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for this high impact day of education.
Dr. Joe Pizzimenti, NSU faculty has invited two speakers to join him for a day full of exciting new information and stimulating cases. Mile Brujic, OD from Ohio will speak on multifocal contact lenses and anterior segment. Dr. Pizzimenti will present an hour on how obesity can impact the visual system and two hours on posterior segment imaging. The day will end with a two hour lecture on a glaucoma update from John Spalding, OD.
The Nova Southeastern Campus in Orlando is adjacent to the Millennium Mall. You will see it on the frontage road to I-4. It is very close to Universal Studios as well. For those of you that would like to stay overnight we have arranged a group rate of $99 nightly for the Hyatt Place located at 5895 Caravan Court, Orlando, Florida 32810. - Early Registration - Due by July 19 - Regular $160 / Alumni $95
- Regular Registration - Due by August 15 - Regular $184 / Alumni $119
- No Registration after August 15th except on-site - Regular $200 / Alumni $135
Prepay TQ exams $75 for 3 courses. The regular mail-in rate for 3 exams is $90. If you are only taking 1-2 exams the standard rate of $30 per exam is the best option and is only available by mail after the event. The $75 rate is only valid prior to the conference. After the conference the rates will be as follows:
- 1 exam = $30
- 2 exams = $60
- 3 exams = $90
Cancellation/Refund Policy
If you are unable to attend the program, please notify us by email as soon as possible. We will refund your registration fee based upon the following schedule:
- 100% refund if notified at least by August 9th
- No refunds after August 9th
There will be no refund if you do not attend the program or do not notify us in advance. As a reminder, compliance with Board guidelines requires punctual attendance for CE credit. Those persons who do not arrive on time for a course will not receive credit. The Florida Board of Optometry states in Chapter 64B13-5.001 (1): "Credit will be allowed on the basis of an hour for hour. To receive one hour credit, a licensed practitioner must attend not less than 50 minutes."
Please Note: All attendees must be registered to attend the college's CE programs and courses. Due to insurance and liability issues, children are not allowed in the lecture halls.
