About Optometry
Mission & Goals
The mission of the College of Optometry is to prepare, educate and train optometric physicians to practice at the highest level of proficiency, integrity, and professionalism; and to provide a multidisciplinary environment that encourages scholarly activity, service, and lifelong learning.
Goal 1
The College shall create and sustain a dynamic environment that will nurture intellectual inquiry and provide academic knowledge and clinical training to build a foundation for the delivery of patient care.
Goal 2
The College shall encourage, support, and maintain high caliber research and other scholarly activity.
Goal 3
The College shall promote postgraduate programs of excellence that will encourage lifelong learning.
Goal 4
The College shall encourage and support both faculty and student involvement in service to the many communities we serve.
