Dr. Pinar Haytac, O.D., FAAO graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2015 where she earned her B.S in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry degree. In 2016, Dr. Haytac completed her residency in Primary Care with emphasis in Ocular Disease at her alma mater. She joined faculty after the completion of her residency and currently holds the rank of Assistant Professor.

Dr. Haytac serves in administrative roles as the Director of Internal Residency Programs. She enjoys contributing to the development of resident’s advanced clinical skills through education and mentorship. Dr. Haytac has served as the Residency Education Coordinator and currently is the Chair of the Residency Advisory Committee.

Dr. Haytac’s teaching responsibilities include instructing first and second year optometry students in Optometric Theory and Methods labs. She also enjoys clinical teaching and supervising the third, fourth year students and residents.

Dr. Haytac is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and her interests include posterior segment disease, specifically retinal conditions and glaucoma. She has authored on multiple posters at the American Academy of Optometry and contributed to numerous papers.
