Alexandra M. Espejo, O.D., FAAO

Dr. Alexandra M. Espejo received the title of Optómetra from the Universidad de la Salle in Bogota, Colombia in 1992 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1996. She completed a Residency in Primary Care at Nova Southeastern University following graduation. Additionally, Dr. Espejo completed a Chief Residency at Nova Southeastern University and then became a fulltime faculty member in 1999.

Dr. Espejo has served as an attending physician in different NSU clinics and served as the Module 3 Director in the OD3 Primary Care Clinic from May 2000 to December 2007. She has presented posters at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association and at the Southeastern Congress of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association and Broward County Optometric Association. Dr. Espejo became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2002.

Currently, Dr. Espejo continues to serve as an attending optometric physician in the OD3 Primary Care Clinic and is the Director of Externships at NSU College of Optometry.
